Assessments
A speech-language assessment is the baseline or beginning point in a speech-language therapy journey.
A person's performance on certain formal and/or informal tests and measures determines whether or not a person will benefit from therapy services.
Assessments can range from 1 hour to 5 hours. Middle school clients and older can usually participate in 1 to 2 hour testing sessions with breaks.
Individual Therapy

Individual therapy occurs in a 1-1 setting online or in-person where the therapist supports the client in his/her/their area of communication needs.
Therapy service sessions range between 30-50 minutes depending on the client's previously assessed needs.

Specialized intervention activities including games, videos, and role-playing are used to promote progress in the area of communication.
If the client is receiving social communication intervention services, the client and therapist work together in creating social plans for future social events/outings.

Group Therapy
Group speech-language therapy occurs in a small group setting online or in-person which includes at least one therapist with 2 or 3 clients. The therapist supports each client's communication needs within a group environment.

Therapy service sessions range between 40-50 minutes depending on each client's previously assessed needs.

Family/Caregiver Trainings
Family/Caregiver trainings (50 minute sessions) are available for at least one of the client's family members one time per month.
Since the main focus of Social Compass Club is to help clients generalize their social skills into community environments, it is important for a family member(s) to learn language terms that will support their child in developing social skills in all environments.
Social Events or Outings
Social Compass Club offers a unique therapy service called the Social Event/Outing. This service takes place within a planned 100-minute outing/one time per month with each individual client or small group of clients who are enrolled in social communication therapy services.

At Social Compass Club, our team members guide and support clients and their family member(s) as they learn how to generalize the clients' social skills plan(s) into community environments.
